Ringer's solution is an isotonic solution to an animal's body fluids, and eating this pill does the same thing as a solution. Ringer tablets usually contain sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate. Other additives can include various chemicals for cells, such as antibiotics and antifungals, ATP (energy unit of cells) and dextrose.
